The day of the slavic Apostles

Dear slavic friends!
Today we have a significant day in the Czech republic, when we commemorate the coming of slavic apostles Saint Constantine (Cyril) and Saint Methodius from Solun to Great Moravia. These two brothers not only brought christianity to many slavic lands, but also at the same time promoted old slavonic church language as a official worship language (besides latin, greek and hebrew) and created a script called glagolitic, later perfected on cyrillic. Today they are considered to be the holy co - patrons of Europe and also the patrons of Moravia.

So we generally commemorate not only the origin of christianity in the Czech lands and one of the beginnings of our own national identity, but also a part of history that has largely influenced the culture and direction of many slavic nations.

We wish you to celebrate this holiday in a pleasant way and at the same time that all the people in Moravia, Bohemia, Silesia, Slovakia and other slavic Homelands today remembered these two brothers...

Yours sincerely
